A relationship expert is tasked with planning a Christmas gala in the hopes of landing her own TV show.

Suave Ted Domrose is frustrated that his lover Valerie broke up because she wants him to adhere blindly to the love manuals by lifestyle author Joanna Moret. The latter bids for a TV show contract from studio boss George MacAllen, who demands she comes decorate his home and meet his son Del, who would become he producer, with her perfect, alas imaginary boyfriend. So she promises to help Ted make up with Val if he plays her dream prince. Jealous Valerie arrives but finds him with her guru, so accepts to play Met's assistant. Gradually it dawn on them that Ted fits better with Joanna and Del with Val.—KGF Vissers
