On Christmas Eve, seven years after Jacob Marley's death, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by Marley's ghost, who warns him to change his ways and expect three more ghosts.

A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly money lending loaner and miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley who has made a deal that could save Scrooge from an eternity of wandering the earth in a terrible limbo. Scrooge is subsequently visited by the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come who are there to show him both the errors of his ways and that redemption is still possible.
