A family discovers their youngest daughter has cancer, but the real struggle is still ahead.

Loosely based on the story of Melissa Weaver, who contracted a rare form of cancer at age 10. Her father loses his job when he takes too much time off from work to care for his family. Enraged, both Melissa and her father decide to fight to change the law that allowed him to be fired. A primary role came in the form of the President of the United States of America, Bill Clinton, who signed the Family and Medical Leave Act that ensured that no other family would need to go through what the Weavers did.—mahajanssen

The Weaver family's youngest daughter, soccer-loving Missy, has cancer in her leg, and her father Ed is fired for taking off too many weeks from work to look after her. This wrecks the family and lowers Missy's chances of surviving. Will she live? Will the family recover? Or can they start something that will keep other families from suffering?
