Apprentices of the legendary antihero Black Rose go after a Hong Kong poet, who witnessed a violent crime which the Black Rose was blamed for in order to clear her name and bring the real criminals to justice.
The film is about a movie antihero of the 1960s called The Black Rose. However, the Black Rose was apparently a real-life person whose two apprentices, in the 1990s, attempt to find a woman who was mistaken for this hero. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time as somebody was committing crimes and the Black Rose was blamed for it.—L.H. Wong <[email protected]>
A poet named Butterfly and her friend Kuen stumbles upon an illegal weapons trade deal gone bad which left most of the perpetrators dead. To avoid police interrogations, the two witnesses reconstruct the crime scene, making it appear that the crimes were committed by the fictional anti-hero "The Black Rose." However, a recovered fingerprint caused Kuen to be the prime suspect, and the apprentices of the Black Rose, apparently a real-life individual whose legacy was portrayed in a movie, appear and attempt to seek the truth behind the matter.—Oliver Chu
