STEVE is a single father following the death of his wife many years ago, but his son, a trainee marine core S.A.S soldier and STEVE remain very, very close.
LIZ and STEVE embark on a road trip through LIZ's Argentine homeland, due to the climax of their union with LIZ's family back home. But the Dream-Trip of a lifetime very quickly turns into his worst Nightmare, when LIZ is snatched by kidnappers, as they stop at a remote petrol station to refuel.
The road trip goes from bad to worse as the Kidnapper's leader, Argentine national FRANCO, quickly latches onto him by placing a mobile phone and other gadgets nearby, where he is able to instruct Steven on where to go and what to do.
Things continue to deteriorate for STEVE, as despite his near-perfect Spanish, it becomes very clear that his every move is being closely monitored by his fiancé's captures. Franco appears to have tapped into a network of sophisticated CCTV, topped-up drones and people on the ground, to be sure that Steve stays in line.
There are a series of terrible events, that see STEVE, robbed, beaten and humiliated along the way, but crucially, he is given just 8 HOURS, to get to his destination if he ever wants to see LIZ alive again.
But there's something not quite right about this situation, as the plot embarks on a series of twists and turns before a final twist in this fast-paced nonstop journey ...
