Old flames reunite and sparks are reignited at Christmastime in Florida, but the man is already engaged to another woman so a recently retired couple try to intervene with the help of their dogs.

Above her lives a retired couple who have a dog named Jack, and they quickly become acquainted. One day, while Lisa is out walking Jack and her puppies, the dogs break free and interrupt a proposal on the beach. It turns out that it is David, Lisa's childhood friend and ex-boyfriend, who is proposing to his new girlfriend.
