Drama-documentary about the Norwegian people's struggle for independence during five dramatic months at the beginning of 1814. The Peace of Kiel after Napoleon's defeat meant that Denmark had to cede Norway to Sweden. A national rebellion started in Norway, however. At the same time the country was a pawn in power struggles between much stronger forces.
