Ali, an Afghan Muslim, lives in Athens Greece. He is trying to get access to the western dream, surrounded by memories of his homeland, his trip to Europe and his «nightmares».

Ali lives lonely and monotonous in a basement apartment. He sleeps, eats sparingly and prays. His unique entertainment is the sport of kick boxing, for which he trains at the back of his house. To survive, he collects scrap metals from garbage that carries in a super market stroller, which he drives on the streets of Athens. But Ali has not only the memories of his homeland, his family and his girlfriend who are invading. More intense emotion generated by the ceremony of the Ashura, who monitors without taking part, in Piraeus.—Anonymous

Leading a solitary, humdrum existence, Afghan Muslim refugee Ali struggles to eke out a living by scouring Athens' streets for scrap metal. Dreaming of obtaining the longed-for legal status to prevent deportation, Ali never forgets where he came from, reminiscing about his traumatic childhood, his homeland, and the dangerous trip to Europe.—Nick Riganas
