'1021' traces the life of Sugithra, a teenager who after the demise of her mother lives with her father. Gripped by loneliness and depression as a result of the loss of his wife, her father seeks salvation in drugs. Young Sugithra is left to grow up in a home that is torn apart by her father's abuse of drugs. In the absence of responsible elders, she is left to suffer in silence as her life becomes an emotional roller coaster.
