Synopsis

Oktay Çetinkaya is a combination of everyone who lives on the streets from beggar to scrap collector, from garbage collector to glue sniffer because he has done all, collected garbage, sold scrap paper slept with stray dogs... And later, one day, he found some books in the garbage and acquired some other books from the students he met in Istanbul. He started to read and collect books. Now, he owns a second-hand bookstore in Istanbul where he sells a variety of books. Recycling Life is a film about street urchins, those who expect us to realise they are human beings; it is also the life story of another street urchin Oktay Çetinkaya, who inspires us and everyone on the streets.
