A simple Shoemaker lives in a small provincial town, who mends boots and writes memoirs about his distant childhood, wanting to leave them as a keepsake for his son. On New Year's Eve, he learns about a magical sea. The shoemaker wants to see this amazing place, but the ticket is expensive, and there are not enough shoes that need repair to be enough for the trip. He finds a solution that promises to make his dream come true.
