Schizophrenic drifter Rabbie Burns believes voices warning him to save England's dogs from a deadly disease within 30 hours before a "Supreme Being" destroys humanity, initiating a race against time amidst a canine epidemic crisis.

Down-on-his-luck Carter has recently become homeless, single and unemployed. Desperate to win back his ex-girlfriend, he goes off on an adventure throughout London to find her, picking up some odd helpers along the way.

When he finds her, her life changes. But she doesn't accept him. What will he do?

Charismatic burglar Maksim gets into trouble after owing money to dangerous bandits. During the next robbery, he witnesses a desperate act committed by the apartment owner Eva, who has unexpectedly returned: she tries to burn everything that reminds her of her traitorous boyfriend, and in addition, commit suicide. Maksim decides to stop Eva and save himself from even bigger problems.

Gerald must sort out his feelings and face down the machinations of the town's women, who map a future he doesn't want. What he wants is romance. How far from his class and country can he venture, and for how long?

This is the story of the protagonist's eventful journey to his Dad, a typical Russian peasant who became a father at the dawn of the 1990s and raised his son according to all-Soviet traditions.
