Episode #1.2
Episode 2 As part of the Massri family - a crime family with a long-standing and bloody rivalry with the Ben Atars' - Juma is not only suspected of car theft and his involvement in the hit-and-run, but of the notion that the accident was not one at all, but rather a deliberate attempt on Asaf Ben Atar's life. Micah enlists attorney Yael Ben Moshe, a former intern of his and a lawyer at the cusp of her career, to represent Juma. Fearful of Khaled and loyal to the Massri code of silence, Juma refuses to cooperate with the police and Yael. At school, Shay meets Gabi Werter, a physical education teacher who notices his distress. The two become initially acquainted. Supreme Court Judge Sarah Bloom is the mother of Micah's deceased wife and Shay's grandmother. Sarah can sense that something is being kept from her, but isn't successful in getting information out of neither Shay nor Micah, with whom she has a shaky relationship. Superintendent Rufus realizes that the vehicle that hit Asaf Ben Atar is the same car that was reported stolen by Micah, and calls him down to the police station in order to identify Juma. Afraid that Juma will finally start talking, Micah lies to the police and says he saw Juma wandering around his car shortly before it was stolen. Micah strengthens his ties with Yael in the hope that she will report back to him when Juma looks like he's about to talk. Superintendent Rufus figures out that the car that hit Asaf Ben Atar belongs to Micah, and discovers a suspicious find in the vehicle.

Episode #1.5
Episode 5 Shay forces Micah to defend Gabi at a disciplinary hearing and save her job at the school. Micah warns Gabi against seeing his son outside of school. Rufus visits Yael at home and shows her photographs of Hussnei, who was badly burned by Ben Atar's cronies while in police custody, and advises that Juma remain in protective custody. Khaled tells Micah that Juma is frightened and likely to start talking and turn them both in. Micah is horrified when Khaled tells him Yael has quit the case. He heads out to her place in order to convince her to go back on her decision. Rufus meets with Asaf and Udi's father, Arye Ben Atar, in prison, and asks him to do what he can to prevent the renewal of war between the Ben Atar and Massri gangs. Sarah invites Rufus to her home, hoping to get some information out of her regarding the secret Micah and Shay insist on keeping from her. Sarah tells Rufus about the Alkobi family's tragedy: Amalia, her daughter and Shay's mother, was mentally ill, fell into drugs and passed away two years ago. Shay, Sarah tells Rufus, is all she has left of her. Micah tries to convince Yael not to deepen her inspection of Juma's alibi. Yael refuses and demands that Rufus head out to the village and locate the car that Juma claims to have stolen at the time of the accident. Shay is gradually falling in love with Gabi. Micah and Khaled head out to Juma's village and burn the car that would have served as his alibi for the night of the accident and cleared him of all suspicion.

Episode #1.6
Shlomo the Ginger, a member of the Ben Atar gang, is brutally murdered by the Massri family's men - officially reviving the gang war that Rufus tried to prevent. Yael tells Juma that his alibi went up in flames, literally. Desperate, Juma decides to turn on Khaled and Micah. He tells Yael that he wants to be a "State's Witness", and in return he will hand over the name of the guilty party. Yael is sure that Juma is about to extradite Omar Massri and, under Micah's guidance, begins to negotiate his terms with Rufus and State Prosecutor Hana Abu Fadi. In light of DNA evidence, Rufus and Hana already know that Juma is innocent, but hope that he will hand over Omar Massri before his release. Under Micah's guidance, Yael appeals for Juma to be released to house arrest at his uncle Khaled's home. Rufus and Hana acquiesce, under the condition that tomorrow morning Juma will provide them with the name of the person they're after. Gabi learns of Shay's difficult background from Ruth, his homeroom teacher and Vice Principal. Omar tells Khaled he knows about the large amount of money he transferred to Ida, and threatens him with even more trouble if he doesn't follow through with the ensuing demand, that he steal weapons from his army base and get them to him. Shay's courtship of Gabi becomes unbearable to her. Khaled tries to deter Juma from giving him and Micah up to the police. When Micah finds out Khaled failed to change Juma's mind, he tries to flee abroad with Shay, only Shay escapes at the last minute and heads to his grandmother Sarah's instead. Feeling like he has no other choice, Micah calls Udi Ben Atar, tells him that Juma Massri is responsible for hitting his brother with the car and very clearly states Juma's current location - Khaled's house. Udi leaves for Khaled's and kills Juma right in front of his family's eyes, as well as Yael who had just arrived at the scene.

Episode #1.8
Episode 8 Rufus investigates Omar Massri and Udi Ben Atar for Juma's murder. Naturally, both are denying any involvement in the case. Udi tells Rufus about the peculiar young man he saw at Asaf's bedside. When Rufus looks at the footage from the security camera in Asaf's room, she recognizes the youth to be Shay. Omar kidnaps Khaled's son for several hours as a sign of what's to come if Khaled doesn't come through with the stolen weapons from his army base. Shay gives Gabi an expensive golden necklace. She refuses to accept it and heads down to the principal's office to give notice of her immediate resignation from the school. Rufus asks Micah what his son was doing at Asaf Ben Atar's bedside. Micah doesn't have an answer for her but realizes that she is about to discover the truth. He buys an expensive toy and sends it to Rufus' son as if it were a gift from Udi Ben Atar. Sarah meets with Gabi and confirms her longstanding suspicions that Micah has been feeding her with lies the entire time. Shay arrives at Gabi's class, only to discover that it has been cancelled until further notice. Micah tells Yael he suspects Rufus of cooperating with the Ben Atar family and that she must have been the one who leaked Juma's location to them. Khaled steals some weapons from the bunker in his base and wires his car so that as soon as the trunk door is opened, all of the weaponry will explode. His plan goes awry when he is shot during the robbery. Bleeding and badly wounded, he arrives at Micah's house.
