Yoo Mi's Room

When Ah Beng water filter salesman Kenth Chu (played by Alvin Wong) and Banana ghost tweet writer Sharon Tong (played by Dawn Cheong) first meet, it's after they've spilled milk tea and coffee on each other respectively during the morning elevator rush-hour. In the truest meaning of the Cantonese proverb "Dangerous enemies meet again in narrow streets" Kenth and Sharon once again find their paths crossing at the end of the day as they both enter the same service elevator. Hilarity ensues when the elevator malfunctions, leaving them trapped with each other, and at the mercy of a gonzo security guard - the Voice of God - who is their only lifeline to the outside world.

Beginning with the suicide of a film director, this work represents the Korean New Wave Cinema movement that focused on criticizing the Korean society in the 1980s through satire and humor.

A handsome and intensely awkward young man converts the spare bedroom of his New York apartment into a Bed and Breakfast. He welcomes his first guest, a struggling actress/singer from France hoping to get some work in the big city. Told through ridiculous though poignant vignettes from their daily lives and dreams, the two find an unlikely solace in each others company.

Komaki Nagai (Manami Konishi) is a 30'ish woman that has had it with her aspiring writer, but holds no job, husband. She then divorces him and moves back to her hometown area of Kyojima, Tokyo, along with their young daughter Non-chan. While in Tokyo, she finds it difficult to make ends meet, then decides to try opening her own bento (lunch box) shop.
