The story unveils three high school seniors who dress and live by the philosophy of "Goth," good friends and great rebels: Digger, Noisy, and DVD. They decide to celebrate Digger's 18th birthday by breaking every rule of what they consider a "shallow and hypocritical society" by planning a suicide as a manifestation of their eternal freedom, thus "to die and become immortal." Before they carry this out, they want to truly experience life on the edge and they devise a plan by which their suicides will make them legends.
