Who Betrayed the Bomber Boys

A documentary depicting the actions of Korean soldiers serving in Vietnam during the war.

Hiroshima Bound is a personal documentary about growing up in the shadow of the Atom Bomb, a film that follows the story of the bombing of Hiroshima through the history of specific photos and film footage taken, sometimes hidden, sometimes displayed over the intervening sixty years. The film interrogates those images through the life experiences of witnesses to the bombs effects, and follows the filmmaker from a 'duck-and-cover' childhood with parents involved with the US nuclear program to encounters with some of the remaining witnesses of the 1945 bombing. The film intertwines these two journeys to explore and unpack the trauma and myth surrounding the culture of Hiroshima representation in American memory.

June, 1864. During the American Civil War, General David Hunter and his Army of 18,000 Union soldiers are ordered to capture Lynchburg, Virginia. If Hunter can seize this important Southern city, it might cripple the Confederacy permanently,and end the war. Defended only by old men and young boys, Lynchburg must prepare for the worst.

My project recognizes the Filipino Veterans of WWII. During the war, these veterans were not allowed to join the U.S. military to help the American soldiers to defeat the Japanese, until the Presidential Order was passed. Many Filipinos have sacrificed a lot throughout the war. They have finally earn the Americans respect and prove their loyalty to other people as well. However after WWII, not all Filipino Veterans has been given their recognition, especially their compensations. Although, these Filipino Veterans showed a great example that America can change to be an ideal society and stood up as good role models and inspired many people.
