When the future arrives to Bolivia's Salar de Uyuni, one of the most secluded places on the planet, the destiny of this ancient salt flat is unearthed and one young salt gatherer becomes the last link between the old world and the new.

Fifteen year old Georgiana is left to raise her 6 siblings in Bacau (Romania), since mother has to work abroad to get by. Torn between adolescence and heavy responsibilities, the teenage girl struggles to keep everyone afloat.

Gema is unemployed. Her daughter Zoe dreams of having wings. Gema wants to fly with her, to get out of this place that asphyxiates, that feeds the fear. Both imagine an identical house painted in red, far away from the noise and close to themselves.
