We Knew Better

On the night that Shirley Chamberlain's father announces her engagement to Billy Emerson, her childhood sweetheart, Don Calvert, a stranger from the city, is present. Learning that Billy is to spend a year establishing himself before the marriage, Calvert invites him to New York; and following a tearful farewell he sets out. Calvert arranges for Billy to become infatuated with Blanchita D'Acosta, a revue star, then summons Shirley to the city; but when Calvert undertakes a flirtation with Shirley, Blanchita becomes violently jealous. At a nightclub with Calvert, Shirley pretends to be gay and frivolous, shocking Billy and provoking his wrath. Drugged by Calvert, she is taken to his apartment; Billy arrives to find her defying him for stealing her jewels, rescues her, and takes her home.

Four college-going friends who are not so studious, enthusiastic, and zealous find different ways to play pranks to avoid being scolded. They live a happy life, until things come crashing down heavily as one of the friends lands in trouble and the others decide to avenge him. In their pursuit they come face-to-face with the people who are out casted from the civilized society and represent the civilized society. However, soon their perception changes and they now represent the outcast and work towards transforming their lives for the good.

After Ladybug Taylor leaves her husband Bobby and son Tyler, her life becomes intertwined with alcohol, a pimp named Curly and a vampire insurance salesman named Walter. Walter's superior, Gene somewhat mirrors Ladybug as the story progresses serving as a character study for the both of them.

Sinan is a second generation Turkish immigrant. He is young, restless and he likes the ladies. His parents have found him a bride, the beautiful Gül. They have also planned for him to take over his father's restaurant after the wedding. But Sinan has other fish to fry.
