Eduardo and Rosario are 84 years old and they've been married for over 70 years. The love between them is the result of a lifetime of peaceful coexistence full of esteem: a once-in-a-lifetime love. When rosario becomes sick, Eduardo starts acting strangely: He is gone in the afternoons and does odd experiments at night. At his age, fear of the impossible does not seem to exist. His grandson Edu decides to investigate what's happening and it doesn't take him long to discover the truth.

In the midst of their wedding preparation, Anna breaks up with her fiance, when she learns that he has repeatedly been cheating on her during their four years of intimate relationship. A while after this devastating separation she meets Adam, an old family friend who is back in town for a short vacation. As the couple connect and start dating each other, Adam finds Anna a far more interesting woman than he remembered. This is because he learns she is able to taste colours, emotions and even events. She claims that when she was in love, she could physically taste happiness in her mouth. While Adam falls deeper in love with Anna, he experiences strangely intertwined sensations of reality. On the other hand, downhearted Anna hesitantly is not able to reciprocate Adam's crazy affection and tries to keep her distance. Adam's madness grows his dual sensory reaction into a level that he becomes able to taste colours spontaneously. But when Adam tries to open up about his symptom, Anna thinks he is mocking her which makes them get in to a fight. As Adam is confused by his love for Anna, as well as his newly self-discovered symptom, Anna decides to put an end to this one-way relationship and pursue her happiness elsewhere. She marries her colleague, but even that cannot bring her back the taste of happiness until she finds herself pregnant and feels the joy of unconditional love of the child.

Life becomes rough for Eric and his wife, Miranda when an eviction notice is delivered to their condo; a place they call home. With no other choice left to choose from, he embarks on an unexpected path in order to save his home, and marriage after his wife cheated on him. However, on July 20, 2012, he becomes an unsung hero when he's thrust in the middle of one of the most horrific mass shootings America has ever witnessed in Aurora, Colorado. Unbeknownst to Eric, this day will change the course of his life...in ways he does not anticipate.
