Summary Sopan's mother wants him to get married and settle down but he isn't ready for the same and has devoted his life towards god ,his mother finally arranges his marriage to his cousin Manjula.Sopan gets irritated by the same and isn't willing to marry her as he also believes that after getting married the family happiness will be screwed.After declining Manjula's proposal he decides to leave her back home but soon returns back with her as they develop feelings for each other but he still isn't willing to get married.Punjabrao (Panjya) his cousin who works in Mumbai comes to village where his mother tells how Sopan is unwilling to get married,Panja shares a secret he had fallen in love with a Tamasha dancer Ratna in Mumbai which erupted a fight between him an his boss and his friend got killed.Panjya advises his aunt to send Sopan with him to Mumbai for work so that he can know the world outside village and might agree to get married to Manjula ,on the way Sopan and Panjya meet Ratna an her troupe and they accompany them.Ratna starts seeing Sopan has a brother but another troupe member Bakula whose keep of Panjya's boss tries to seduce him.
