Den oblodiga revolutionen 1945-1949
The first part "A bloodless revolution", is about 1945-49, where the classic picture with swirling paper on Kungsgatan in Stockholm says far from everything about what it was like at the outbreak of peace on May 7, 1945. The celebration degenerated into window crushing like our day Reclaim the Street-demonstrations.

"The Big Leap" Work - Housing - Center. It was the three intended constituents in the 1950s ABC suburbs. Göran Hägg guides us around his childhood Tallkrogen. There were not many workplaces in the suburb, but people went into the city to work. One that also documented the suburban life of the 50's is writer Ylva Eggehorn. She participates in the program alongside with writer Birgitta Stenberg. Included is also a look at the sinful Swedish film, commented by film professor Leif Furhammar.

Sista striden 1955-1959
"The Last Battle" A pillage in the Swedish welfare building was the ATP system that would give the Swedes a fair pension. At the same time as the debates about the pension were raging, a new social group was noted. It was the teenagers, who were frequently regarded as outsiders. Greasers, rockers and their girls, American music and rooster cams emerged and changed everyday life. The arena where both ATP battles and rock concerts were united were in the Swedish Folkpark.

Från idéer till idyll 1960-1965
"From Ideas to an Idyllic Place" During the early 1960s neutral Sweden was perceived as something of a judge in world issues. We were hailed in developing countries and feared but respected by the great powers. That the UN Secretary-General was Swedish was of great importance. Dag Hammarskjöld was seen , at least here at home, almost like a world president. In 1961, the phenomenon of pop charts was introduced by Radio Nord. When the National Radio then picked up the trend, it was not the sales figures that decided the list placements, but votes among the listeners.

Välfärdens högsommar 1966-1968
"The High Summer of Welfare." Ingvar Carlsson, former prime minister, and Tommy Blom, rock star from the 60s band Tages, visiting the program and explains both the demolitions in the city centers, the building of the million program and the radicalization of the idol magazines. The gears in the community machinery have never spun as smoothly as September 3, 1967 when the change from left to right traffic was carried out. The popular campaign song "Stay to Right Svensson" with Telstars has also been honored to become vignette music for this TV series. If the traffic change flowed without protests, it was worse with Per Oscarsson's stripping at Hyland on television. Everyone saw it and many were shocked.

During the so-called rich years 1968-73, the Swedish economy went on high. "dizzy pedagogy" and "big families" were two new concepts that entered everyday life. Göran Hägg talks about the Student Corps house occupation, the Norrmalmstorg drama and the extreme enlightenment films about sex.
