Azoz, an employee at the Opera House accompanies a violinist who has just arrived from tours abroad in her errands in the city. He eventually gets influenced by her and starts listening to classical music, and simultaneously gets bored with his life and wife.

Vera Loudon is unhappily married to wealthy, profligate Herbert Loudon, who openly makes advances to Mrs. Alicia Carteret at a dinner party. Donald Cavendish, a former admirer of Vera's, witnesses her humiliation and advises her to leave her husband, which she is unwilling to do. During a rainstorm, Donald's automobile breaks down, and he and Vera stop at the Loudon lodge nearby. When Herbert comes in with Mrs. Carteret, Donald and Vera escape unnoticed. Donald returns to claim the gloves he left behind at the lodge. A fight with Herbert ensues, and Donald leaves without the gloves. Herbert is later found dead at the lodge. The gloves make Donald a prime suspect, but Vera uncovers the real culprit: Mr. Carteret. Vera finds happiness at last, married to Donald.

Sharbari is a social drama that tells the emotionally moving story of Sharbari who is tested by fate. The movie maps out the life of Sarbari and a series of unfortunate events that she is subjected to. She is first tricked into believing that her husband Jayanto is dead and her child is taken away and she is told that he is no more. Almost crazy with sadness and pain, she is drugged and sent off in a shady are to become a prostitute and smuggler. All these evil plots are arranged by her own uncle whom she sots and kills later. Sentenced to prison, Sarbari leads a sad life. In a turn of events, Haru tell Jayanto the whole scheme and later, he is reunited with his son Kaushik, after Sarbari is set free, and Kaushik has now grown up to be a jailer, parented by good people. The movie portrays the good and bad side of man, the limits of wrong doing and that evil never pays.
