Summary When Anna Svetlova accidentally bumps into her former student, now a military pilot, memories of past events come flooding back to her in a second. Twenty years ago, after graduating from college, Anna's first job was teaching literature in a secondary school. One of her pupils, Yegor Aleksandrov refused to write essays on the subjects in the curriculum and instead, invented romantic stories for his teacher written in the style of his idol, the French writer and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
