Xiao Lang and his mother live in the south. In the summer, Xiao Lang returned to Beijing and met his father who had been separated for five years. There is no joy of reunion after a long separation when father and son meet. Responsibility, courage, determination, and faith are what Dad taught Xiao Lang and what Xiao Lang gave to Dad. Dad is Xiao Lang's sun, and Xiao Lang is also Dad's sun. Family affection is a kind of strength that inspires their lives.

An episodic story of three children, living in three different countries. Themba, Manuela and Ismael have the same aspiration and struggles. Through their eyes we see their reality and how it is affected by obstacles which deprive them their fundamental right, a right to be educated. Themba, a young South African boy of a domestic worker who is struggling at school and faces challenges to find time to study. Manuela, a 7 year old indigenous Ecuadorian girl who is looking forward to going to school, but all her hopes vanish suddenly. And Ismael, a boy from Colombia, who due to family tradition is forced to work with his father and is unable to attend school.

A teenage boy named Steve collects various items, is often bullied. He has a dream that his items become very valuable in the Internet and he becomes rich. When he awakes, he realizes that his life is good the way it is and deals with the bullies.
