They Have Changed Their Face

Just before Italy's capitulation in 1943, an eminent lawyer is being forcefully taken to the fort by Italian authorities along with his fourteen year old son, in order to reconstruct the judicial process for thirty nameless people that never actually took place.

During World War II, Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Singapore have fallen, Macao survived alone and became the only transit point between China's mainland and the outside world, known as "Oriental Casablanca" by Westerners. In the autumn of 1942, the communist Yun Liu went to Macau to find Fu Zhou, the boss of "Oriental Hotel", drawing the map to rescue the "cultural elite" trapped in Hong Kong. When he finished the map and ready to go to Hong Kong, the Kuomintang's undercover Yingxiong Meng got the news. Yingxiong Meng do not want to reveal his identity, then he asked the Japanese spy to borrow a knife to kill Yun Liu..

WW1: A woman ,whose husband refused to get back on the offensive -for the eleventh time!- and then was shot as an example ,is harassed by her "patriot" neighbors and the Police:she winds up in an insane asylum.

Cinema has described the Second World War several times by the extent of its destruction and the depth of its historical dimension. This movie differently looks at it, in a more personal and private way. In this dimension, in a limited time and space, we meet three characters, a girl, a young American soldier and a German soldier and in their consciences, in their choices, in their sensibility we try to find the meaning of war. The war forces common people, women and men, to a state of urgency and makes them facing with most important questions as life, death and love; and the authentic and simple narration is in the way the characters face these challenges.

In a Nazi-occupied Greek village, the death of five German soldiers triggers a harsh retaliation.
