The Young Adventurers

Summary A trio of strictly disciplined youths takes flight from their humdrum lives and set their sites on the jungles of the Amazon in director Peter Pearson's fanciful tale of what it really means to live the dream. The suburbs have young Harry Connor bored to tears, and when his buttoned-down father discovers just how goofing around the restless wild child has really done, the mischievous youngster is quickly shipped off to a remote boarding school run by a collection of stern, black-robed priests. With no girls within a twenty-mile radius and not an ounce of fun to be had, Harry soon begins conspiring with like-minded fellow student Malouf to take flight from the school and seek their fortunes in the Amazon. When the wandering pair is joined by a young girl named Sylvie from Malouf's village, the trio soon discovers that you don't have to be an adult to conquer the world. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide View more details
