Liz dreams of buying a house and starts working as a call girl. She then becomes emotionally involved in a young man.

After years of anxious waiting, a suitable heart becomes available for Jill Maddox. It isn't rejected by her body, but feels very strange and seems to change her character completely, mainly more adventurous. She gets visions with clues to trace down her donor, Matt, who died in a motor crash, and contacts the family. It's all too much for Jill's daughter, gifted violinist Amanda, who was okay playing the perfect nurse but now feels lost and betrayed, despite support from her boyfriend Billy.

Karsten apparently has it settled. However, in this provincial German town, a moment of weakness turns to disaster, disappointment soon fuels anger, justice hides behind hypocrisy, and evil gradually unfolds.

Nan Masters, a single mother living with her four marriageable daughters, plans to marry Sam Sloane, businessman. Buff plans to elope with Gabriel on her mother's wedding day, but 'unpredictable' is Gabriel's middle name.

Three children are stalked by hired killers after they unknowingly take evidence pointing to the existence of a corrupt international cartel, which has just murdered their father.
