The lives and loves of four sisters during their pastor father's absence.

Be-hwan is a famous Korean fashion photographer visiting Japan at the request of his friend Gil-su to take pictures of his wedding. On the day of Gil-su's wedding, however, the bride disappears, and Bae-hwan ends up filling in for her at Gil-su's studio. Ryu is a male escort who is neither male not female in his physiappearance and he visits Gil-su's studio to take new image shots for upload to a website featuring male prostitutes. While working with Bae-hwan, Ryu realizes his beauty for the first time. Bae-hwan attempts to take Ryu with him to Korea to help with with his modeling career, but in the end, they both realize that existing in each other's worlds is something they are simply, sadly, unable to do.

Post apocalyptic Frankenstein-ish fantasy

Jerry is a wide-awake tourist guide in Cebu who knows all the angles, and who has supported his divorced mother and younger brother and sister since their musician father deserted the family for a younger woman. Jerry guides tour buses, taking the mostly Japanese tourists boating, golfing and to strip shows. Jerry also acts as a pimp, and even prostitutes himself. As the breadwinner he makes sacrifices for his family but wields control over his siblings and mother in return.

Somra, son of Jitni, lives in Manpur, a small railway station near Gaya in Bihar. Somra is obsessed with kites. Mathura, a petty criminal, has a clandestine, yet understood and accepted, relationship with Jitni. The idealist railway official Rabbani makes futile attempts to change a situation in which politicians, criminals and bureaucrats are ail linked. Shady dealings unfold in the constant heat, against a backdrop of flying kites.
