The Norway House

Naples, 1987. The inhabitants of a suburban building live the last months before making room for a highway that will sweep away their little world forever.

The year is 1942 and Japan is in the midst of World War II. Prison warden Susumu's prisoner Seitaro escapes from his cell through the thick of winter and disappears. He was serving a life sentence. The prisoner, however, is not lost forever. He returns and does so to the place one least expected.

After the death of a friend, Gabriel and Diego talk in the middle of a rainy night. The three were friends in common and begin to remember moments that lived together, but only one of them goes to the funeral. The other refused to go because his ex-wife betrayed him to the deceased, but eventually learned from his friend that it was the funeral. As they talk, they not only remember memories but also question their own lives.

Aydanur, who works at the factory, has a forbidden love with Mahmut, who married his childhood friend. Hearing this relationship leads to great tragedy.
