The Lure

Our film portrays the precarious destiny of a former employee of the Soviet customs service. Sent into 'forced' immigration on an assignment in the 1980s, he is forgotten after the regime changes that take place in Russia in the early 1990s. Supported by neither Russian nor American governments, he is forced into a struggle against the international drug mafia. Alone, he will have to find a way out of a labyrinth of highly complex and unforeseen difficulties.

A policeman infiltrates in a gang of forgers. He and their leader fought together in Vietnam, where he saved his life. The policeman arrives to the gang headquarters, a mansion in the Californian coast, and thinks everything is under control, until some unexpected visitors, a gang of deranged hippies, show him he is wrong.

After possibly killing a man in a brawl at a farewell party Tony Gunther, an American merchant seaman, is knocked out and wakes up in the apartment of Laura Ring, the secretary of a shipping company.

In the harbor of Rotterdam, an action group called "Redpeace" discovers illegal weapon transports. Those are executed by shipping-trade Kusters Shipping Company. The discovery is annoying for Ann Kusters, the wife of Erik Kusters. She functions as a translator with the European parliament. It gets even worse when Ann is discovered and photographed while she's having an intimate rendez-vous with a french politician, whose investigating the illegal weapon transports. Short after, the man is found dead...
