Two crooks invade the suburban Philadelphia home capturing the wife and two teen-aged daughters of a firefighter in the process. Leaving the wife, the younger daughter and her friend securely trussed, the thieves force the older teen to drive them in the family car away from the crime scene. Soon the Philadelphia police force is hot on their trail.

After a bank robbery, quick work by the Pittsburgh Police Department and those of surrounding counties acting on information supplied by witnesses, forces the perpetrators to flee into a wooded hilly area where a gun battle between cops and crooks ensues.

Three crooks panic when a burglar alarm goes off while they're attempting to break into a tavern in Indianapolis, Indiana. One of the trio insists on returning to the scene of the crime to collect their cast off burglary tools leading to a car chase and the murder of a deputy sheriff. The Indiana police forces pull out all the stops to locate and arrest the perpetrators.

A baby born in Danville, Viginia with an extremely rare blood-type desperately needs a transfusion. There are only 35 people in the United States with U-Negative blood, the nearest living in Cincinnati, Ohio - but he was working as a truck driver when the blood bank called to request he give the baby a transfusion. The local police initiated a desperate manhunt to find him in time to save the baby's life.

An ex-convict employed as a dental technician teams with an out-of-work tools clerk trying to make ends meet hold up a Detroit tavern. Unfortunately for the crooks, one of the bar's patrons is an off-duty policeman who shoots both crooks during a gun battle. One of the wounded robbers is quickly captured at a local hospital while detectives search for the other criminal whose identity was concealed behind a rubber skeleton mask.

A small-time crook returns to rob a convenience store for the second time in three weeks. His escape plan goes awry when he finds his car has flat tire. Before he can leave the area¸ the Houston police and their K-9 dogs track him down. While they're happy to have made an arrest expeditiously, the cops have another concern - where did the perpetrator toss his gun and could they find it before a neighborhood child picked it up.

The police force of a small suburban town in New York confronts an epidemic of juvenile delinquency. Their quick action averts a pair of rumbles between rival gangs of teenagers, but they haven't been able to solve a pair of knifings. By dint of their persistence, they manage to cultivate young informants who help them rout out the criminals.

Providence, Rhode Island: November 13 - Young Hoods in Armed Robbery
A trio of inexperienced thieves find themselves in the armed robbery business when they spot a car with the keys still in the ignition. After repainting the car a vivid lilac color, they break into a home and steal two guns, then try to knock over a liquor store. In their hurry to flee the premises, one of the young hoodlums shoots himself in the foot and winds up in the hospital. By working together the Providence Police Department and county police agencies put together a case against the three thugs.

A gang of kidnappers abducts the wife, son and daughter of a Chicago tire store owner and force him to obtain a withdraw a large amount of money from his bank to ransom his family. The Baltimore County Police Department investigate a string of burglaries in the Essex and Dundalk neighborhoods. The modus operandi is the same - a cat burglar sneaks into a rowhouse and searches the home for valuables while the family is asleep. Although patrol cars, beat policemen and K-9 corps blanket the area, the score is Burglar 38, Police 0 until the detectives get a solid lead.

Two Minneapolis policeman are gunned down by car thieves when the crooks crash the stolen vehicle after a hot pursuit. Though the criminals initially manage to escape via a series of carjackings, they are flushed by sheriff's deputies in Anoka County, Minnesota resulting in a massive manhunt that brings lawmen from as far away as Wisconsin to track the gang.

A middle-aged man, down on his luck, in debt and without money to pay the rent decides to embark on a life of crime in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His modus operandi is to rob small stores, grab a hostage and walk her to the nearest subway station where he releases her. When the police track him to his hotel, he barricades himself in his room and threatens to kill himself. The police work quickly to prevent the man from harming himself or others.

While hiking with his friends in the Verdugo Mountains above Burbank, California, a young boy loses his footing, falls to the bottom of a canyon and is serious injured. His friends rush to find help, but become disoriented in the remote area when trying to lead the police back to the injured boy. Desperate to find the youngster before dark, the Burbank P.D. organizes a massive search party.

A pair of warehouse employees for a trading stamp merchandise company plan a daring burglary and attempt to bribe the company's head security guard to allow them access to the building. A pair of criminals serving life sentences at the Missouri State Penitentiary in Jefferson City escape and are recruited into a gang of criminals who intend to invade the home of a wealthy couple and force them to turn over the stash of money they believe to be hidden there. When an informant notifies the St. Louis County police department of the plan, the officers set a trap for the criminals.
