Jong-dae's dream is to keep a revolver that can make him stronger than the small-time gangsters around town. One day Ki-su's older brother shows up and leave behind his son Yo-han to Ki-su's care.

Deprived of their independence and prosperity, the nomadic reindeer breeders were ostracized from their homeland and asked to abandon not only their language and traditions but also their children that were forced to enroll in boarding schools.
