A young professor of art history is pressed by communist superiors to write a positive review to an amateur scholar. He plays with an old man as well as with a young worker girl until he realizes he has lost everything.
The villages of the lowland wastelands have existed for almost centuries, however only those who live there know about them. The hideaway of the boonies are the bogs along the Kurca. The locals believe that the bog is alive and beyond itself, listening, loving, protecting, judging and punishing.
