Summary Mae (SeAnne Simpson), who runs a family-owned hog farming operation in the 1950s, needs her handpicked hog to win first prize at the county fair in order to get top dollar from hog buyers. Every year she gets beat out by a competing hog farmer who her entire family disdains. With the aid of family and farm hands, Mae hatches a plan to steal her competitor's prize pig, thereby being assured of first place and top pork prices. After fulfilling their roles in the pig heist, Mae and her crew plan to meet up at a tavern to regroup and celebrate, but their plans don't go as expected. Mae's cousin, Luther (Matthew McDonald) gets a possibly fatal injury and the rest of the gang gets delayed. On edge, they hide out at the tavern, awaiting the arrival of the rest of their crew.
