The Sirius, Spica and Vega Platoons have all taken leave. Their vacation spot: Captain Murase's family-owned Inn on Planet Carcalla. Just when Manabu thought the best three platoons of the SDF were forgetting about their duty, absorbing everything from Karaoke to careless betting bouts, a loud cry from another guest sends the detached units into orbit. The guest's feline friend, Tiger, has gone missing! Orders are dispatched, supplies checked, forces ready to search, the SDF platoons must always adapt in any given situation. After an unexpected twist of events, Manabu realizes that moments of tranquility shouldn't be taken so lightly.

Manabu has been hand picked to join the Space Panzer Grenadiers, his brother's old unit. His sheer bravery and unparallel aptitude and skill make Manabu the number one candidate for the SPG, Galaxy Railway's elite division. While the team members of his old unit place their wagers on Manabu's return to Sirius Platoon, Bruce knows that it's ultimately going to be Manabu's decision of what path he chooses. During his final training session with the SPG, a magnetic disturbance strands Manabu onboard a damaged train all alone. During his strife, Manabu uses the pocketed encouragement of the Sirius Platoon to keep his mind clear and attempt to complete his mission. But will it be enough to get him back to his time-honored comrades?

Contradiction
Headquarters receives a SDF distress signal from Planet Kowloon, a bizarre world known as the Deserted Planet of Labyrinths. Big One is dispatched, with Ivanov, from Intelligence, accompanying them. Upon their arrival, the crew finds Tille and Liffle, two botanical-humanoid beings that are scientists from another dimension. Ivanov does not trust them and coincidentally, Big One is attacked by a stalking alien vessel. Sirius Platoon's only means of escape is to head towards a dimensional rift, from which their enemy emerged. Bulge senses a trap, but with Big One taking heavy damage it's the only way.

The Cruel Winds
The crew of Big One mourns the loss of Bruce. And to make matters worse, the SDF has subpoenaed Captain Bulge before an inquiry panel to assess punishment for disobeying Ivanov's orders. The jury's verdict relieves Bulge from his command of Big One and Sirius Platoon is completely disbanded, with each member reassigned to auxiliary units. But Bulge learns that the SDF Investigations Division has not followed up on the Cosmo Matrix or the Alfort Fleet attack. And the crew has found evidence of Ivanov's hidden agenda. Against Ivanov's orders, the Big One's degenerates pull out of Destiny Station to investigate the emerging evidence that might possibly absolve Bulge on their own.

Not only has the Alfort Fleet taken the lives of numerous SDF members, but the lives of galactic citizens who perished during the alien raid. The galaxy's only hope is Bulge and his crew. Thinking the bloodshed to be finished, Manabu is bewildered at the sight of 200 enemy ships emerging. Commander Forecis demands Destiny Station's surrender and he won't be taking any prisoners. When the battle between the Alfort Fleet and Sirius Platoon continues, Commander Forecis sheds his underlying motives. Destiny's railways and arteries running through his home galaxy have caused irrefutable damage. It's only fate that he destroys the last tracks of the Galaxy Railways. But Manabu has never been more determined to prove that people can craft their own fates. Will Manabu's eternal hope be enough to save Destiny Station?
