Was heißt hier Oma!

Was heißt hier Oma!

Charming, fashion-conscious, urbane: these are the keywords that best characterize Juliane Kostner, an attractive woman in her prime. It is not for nothing that she has been the head buyer at a Berlin luxury department store for 30 years. Julian's private life, on the other hand, doesn't look so rosy. For example, the single woman does not have a particularly trusting relationship with her adult daughter Henrike. But when Henrike had to go to the hospital, heavily pregnant after a fit of weakness, her husband, the busy pilot Martin, had no choice but to ask Juliane a favor: she should look after her two grandchildren for the duration of Henrike's stay in the clinic. The teenager Nils and his little sister Sarah are absolutely thrilled with their new babysitter, because instead of eco-friendly clothes, Grandma Juliane offers fashionable shopping tours and instead of organic food, she serves her grandchildren currywurst with french fries. In the nature lover Johann, a neighbor of her grandchildren, Juliane also finds a sympathetic admirer. But the balancing act between work and family is not easy for her in the long run. When one day she forgets to pick up little Sarah from school, a scandal breaks out: Henrike, angry and disappointed, puts her mother in front of the door. As if that weren't enough trouble, Juliane also loses her position as head buyer to a young colleague after a wrong order and is demoted to a lingerie seller by her snooty, very young boss. But a woman like Juliane doesn't give up that easily: Again she takes over the direction of the family home, takes care of Nils full of vigor and ingenuity, who is teased at school for being overweight, consoles little Sarah, who misses her mom, and takes it casually thinks of Martin, who is always shining because of his absence. And Henrike slowly realizes that behind the facade of the stylish and self-centered career woman there is a loving, sensitive and experienced mother.
