Episode 1 • Dec 02, 2012

Episode #1.1

Richie Beckett has a murky past but is now a respected businessman in Brighton. His sons Cal and Matty have taken over the illegal side of the family business and are under pressure to form an alliance with the Albanian Marin and his gang of pimps and drug-importers. As insurance the married Cal is leaned on when the gang kills a girl he has slept with and threaten to implicate him. Cal calls in Richie to get rid of the evidence and Richie makes it clear to the Albanians he has no desire to join them. Matty,the calmer of the two boys,tells Richie he believes he should have agreed as well as showing concern that,after years dry,his father has started drinking heavily. Matty tells his mother Jo of his concerns and is also perturbed to learn that Richie violently assaulted a cyclist who has annoyed him. Jo asks Richie for an explanation but Richie gets a call from Cal to come to town where a car is blazing.

Episode 2 • Dec 03, 2012

Episode #1.2

The morning after the Albanians have sent the burning car into a hotel owned by Richie,torching part of it,Richie goes for a check-up with prosperous Dr Seb Whiting,an old acquaintance,who diagnoses stress. The Albanians intercept an illegal consignment of the Becketts,killing their inside man. Cal retaliates by giving an Albanian who has been following him a violent kicking and Marin gets revenge by having his gang brutalize Matty when he tries to act as go-between. Marin announces that he will only deal with Richie,who meets with Marin's father Vajkal and agrees to give him fifty houses in exchange for the woman's corpse. Having left Vajkal Richie starts to have flashbacks about a young girl he buried thirty years earlier. He also beats up Cal but cannot recall doing it.

Episode 3 • Dec 04, 2012

Episode #1.3

Richie is diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease but is determined to restore the fire-damaged hotel. After the woman's torso is discovered in the sea Marin and his gang call on Matty,demanding medical help for Vajkal,whom Richie has severely injured. After Richie,starting to dement,mistakes Cal for Milton,a face from the past,the father and son agree to get a gang together to defeat the Albanians. There is a shoot-out in the neutral house where Seb has gone to treat the dying Vajkal but Jo arrives in time to save Seb,Richie and Matty. The police visit Jo and Matty,looking for murder suspect Cal,who is in hiding. They also want to talk to Richie but he drives off to a country house,where he sees the corpse of Milton but has to flee as he has been followed.

Episode 4 • Dec 05, 2012

Episode #1.4

Richie returns to Brighton with the girl he rescued from the country house where the Albanians killed Milton to find that Jo's gallery has also been torched and the police are questioning him over the discovery of the dead woman's head. Marin demands that the boys deliver Richie in retaliation for the death of Vakjal and Cal's efforts to get up a gang to beat them are dashed when Marty explains to Richie's followers about his father's condition. The family goes into hiding where Jo has a confession to make to Richie whilst vowing to stand by him. However,on learning that the Albanians have ransacked his house and that the life he knew is slipping away, Richie goes to the beach to face his fate. As the Albanians confront him a shot rings out...
