The Emerald

A documentary crew shadows a pair of extremely good looking (and not so bright) rookie detectives as they chase a band of inept art thieves in an ultra low stakes game of cat and mouse.

Monarchists and republicans meet in Araruna, a small fictional town in the interior of São Paulo, in 1886. The novel portrays the love story of the beautiful and wealthy Sinhá Moça - daughter of the slave, Barão Ferreira de Araruna, and sweet and submissive Mother Candida - , with the young abolitionist lawyer Dr. Rodolfo Fontes - son of Dr. Fontes, and the housewife Inêz. Together, they face the difficulties in the campaign for the abolition of slaves.

Saraswathi is a bubbly enthusiastic girl who wants to be happy in life. But she has always looked down upon for not being able to complete even her Class XII. She decides to get married to escape from the constant criticism from her father for not studied properly. Similarly, the prospect grooms demand more money to marry her as she's an uneducated girl making her life even more miserable in front of her family where Tamizharasu is a very responsible and respectable guy who dropped his education and took over the family business at a very young age due to circumstances. His mother Kothai finds it difficult to get a bride for him because he is uneducated. She wanted him to get married to an educated girl.

Boonparet, a young and eager attorney, is working on a case where he represents Pongdanai, his half brother, who is a playboy and a womanizer with many mistresses, including one of Boonparet's best friends. Chisamai is an attorney trainee whom Pongdanai secretly likes, so she is assigned to handle the case, so they can be together more often. But, when she learns the truth about Pongdanai, she decides to work against him by representing Boonparet's best friend to file for divorce.

The story is about a young girl Eva, who never knew her parents. At her four she got to the gang of arrant thieves and survives in the darkest crack houses of the big city. But any dark powers can't crash the girl's will to break free from the criminal world and find the happiness, love and home.

Presented by Eastman Kodak, this show was a series of original scripts directed by acclaimed directors and featuring well-known performers. The stories ranged from musicals to comedies and dramas.
