The Correction

LARGER THAN LIFE tells the story of Texas artist Buck Winn (1905-1979). This is the first collection of his artwork, bas-relief sculpture, inventions, and architectural works ever assembled. Buck specialized in doing large murals and artwork for building decorations, all of his projects were considered 'larger than life.' Many of his period pieces from the 1930's thru 1960's have been destroyed as buildings were bulldozed. He created the largest mural in the world, 285-feet, installed in a complete circle, on The History of Ranching. The Historical Commission visited and photographed 18 locations, all of his known work around the Southwest.

Don McLean: American Troubadour is a behind the scenes look at one of America's greatest singer songwriters. This special summarizes his forty year plus career and features live performances of his best known hits including American Pie, Vincent, Crying and I Love You So. Don McLean: American Troubadour is produced and directed by four time Emmy award winning Jim Brown whose work includes: Pete Seeger: The Power of Song, The Weavers: Wasn't That A Time, and A Vision Shared: Tribute to Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly.

A documentary about the life of Alejandro Cotto, a film making pioneer from El Salvador. We explore his early life, his involvement in the cinema as a volunteer projectionist while he was just a teenager and his eventual departure to Mexico City where he studied and met renowned filmmaker Julio Bracho, who became his mentor and collaborator. Then we follow his return to El Salvador where he continued making films in a smaller scale while trying to jump start a film movement that ended in frustration and contributed in part to his decision to quit making films altogether. This is not only a story of a kid who dreamed of making films and eventually made that dream come true but also a story of a man who sacrificed a chance at a bigger career to come back to his country to attempt of starting a film industry that nobody wanted.
