True Stories from Asia consists of two real life stories recorded in SE Asia. The first is about a young troubled women and her search for meaning in life and the 2ND is about a Buddhist monk who has a mysterious encounter that changes his life.

What did the boys wish for that day? Twelve years ago, the three boys Haruhiko, Ryuta and Toru wished on a falling star from the same place. Now, they are all living separate lives. Ryuta is a driver for a Tokyo cabaret. Toru has quit his band and is working in a pub in his hometown. Haruhiko was working in a top-notch company, but went into debt and has now returned to his parents' home to borrow money. The three men live in a very real society in which one can't survive on the fleeting words of hopes and dreams alone. But one day, a small change comes upon them.

Motocross racer Brett Cross has an alcoholic father, peer trouble, and can't race away from his problems. Brett's father, Stan, angrily reveals a family secret while intoxicated, and is on the verge of losing everything. Brett must come to terms with the actions of others and the consequences of his own choices.

One night, Ttol-ttol and Bok-nam, two classmates in elementary school, discover thieves ready to steal rice loads with their truck parked nearby. They hide in the rear side of the truck, and secretly stay in the thieves' cave.

Naneh Lala is an elderly woman living in a house scheduled for demolition to make way for a new avenue. With all her children moved away and no phone in the house to contact them, she is in a seemingly impossible situation with no hope. When her son calls a neighbor's phone inside a locked house, it is up to a local troupe of plucky children to get Naneh Lala there before it is too late. An energetic and charming family film.
