The Awakening

A girl who ran away from her home in order to reach the glittering life she longed for as soon as possible, meets the agency owner Leman and opens the doors of fame. But meanwhile, her paths cross with drugs. Can steps into a dark world because of his lover Hakan.

Twenty eight years ago, Barbara and Larry were college lovers and Laurie was conceived. They were unmarried, young and afraid and decided to put her up for adoption. She now returns to their lives and, through persistence, re-unites them.

Mary (17) and Atsushi (20) elope and come to live in Tokyo from a nearby city. Soon after running out of money, they start looking for a job. Mari meets a girl named Kana who sells party tickets in the streets. Kana claims she's 18 years old but in actuality she is only 15. Atsushi comes to know a group of young scoutmen and gets hired as one of them. While Marie and Atsushi are encountering with these people, their beliefs and values are shaken.

Mitsuko Murakami puts the passion to balloon in the hot-air balloon Circle "Airheads". The club gathered young people holding a variety of thoughts. But "Airheads" is disbanded not too long after. Five years later, "Murakami was in a traffic accident" starts to go around between the circle members, and for that reason the members reunite and hold again a large banquet in order to remember Murakami and the days in the Club.

A bridge spanning a river collapses during rush hour. Eight years later, the lives of four people, impacted by the tragedy and on the run from their personal demons, intersect in THE PUBLIC DOMAIN, a Polish bar. It's the feast of St. Casimir, the Patron Saint of Poland, and the biggest party of the year in this Nordeast Minneapolis dive where desire, guilt, ambition and fear are served up with pierogies, Polish vodka, polka music and, maybe, a shot of redemption.
