The moment Ferid boarded that bus, his nightmarish journey into the mountains of Eastern Bosnia began. Few Bosnian Muslims who set foot on those buses were ever seen again. The bus took its passengers to the Paklenik Pit, located deep within the forest. The horror unfolded as Ferid watched his comrades being lined up on the pit's ominous edge.
