Summary Richard, a successful New York accountant whose idea of exercise is to go to the movies and to whom Central Park is the great outdoors, hasn't exactly taken life by the horns. He has a chronic stuttering problem and has caused great exhaustion and strife for him. After trying a number of different therapies (unsuccessfully) to alleviate his condition, he decides to enter the real-life Hollins Institute, an actual treatment center devoted to the research and cure for stuttering.
