Summary 'Tailanga Swami' is the story of a holy man named Tailanga Swami. Dayavati was a childless woman. By the blessings of Lord Shiva she gives birth to a son and names him Shivaram. From childhood Shivaram was different from other children and used to spend his time praying and meditating. When he grows up his mother gets him married so that he takes interest in his family life. But after his parents' death Shivaram leaves his family and goes out in search of lord. After travelling for a long time he meets a pious sage in the cave of Himalayas. He starts meditating there and attains enlightenment. He gets a new name Tailanga. He is blessed with divine powers and performs many miracles. Many people try to prove that he is a fraud but fails. He settles down on the banks of Kashi and keeps enlightening people with his knowledge and wisdom. After living on earth for 300 years his soul leaves his body and departs for the heavenly abode.
