Strange Circus

Pierre, a young man of Brussels, has lost his job. Unbeknowst to Barbara, the woman he lives with, he has become a pickpocket to survive. He works in partnership with a young Tunisian immigrant he meets every Sunday in an abandoned bus where they share the loot of the week. One day, Pierre finds his accomplice dead in their hiding place. Pierre suddenly realizes that he does not know much about his dead friend. Taking possession of his identity papers, Pierre decides to go to Tunisia to find out who his friend actually was.

Alzbeta and Tina are sisters bound by jealousy and love, an unspoken history hovering over them like a dark cloud. It is this history that compels Alzbeta to refuse Tina's help in finding a better life, until the day arrives that forces them to confront their common past.

Shehu, a Nigerian cab driver who's had less than stellar luck with women, recently had the misfortune of picking up a woman who wasn't one at all. Out of frustration, Shehu vows to never touch another American woman again. He travels home to Nigeria to find a wife and hang up his bachelor ways. His plan is to find a nurse so she can get certified in the USA and make enough money for him to stay home and drink beer if he so chooses. When Shehu returns to the USA with a new wife and a fresh outlook on life, he didn't count on his new wife learning the ways of the African American woman. Now his wife has embraced her new-found identity, and Shehu is stuck trying to figure it all out.

An Argentinean family flees to Germany with their little son during the military dictatorship in Argentina during the seventies. In Germany, their son grows up.
