A thin line between love and duty: what will overweight the fate's scale? This film is not about Ukrainian revolution. The directors don't name any places or streets. The main focus is that conflict can occur anywhere in the world. Anna meets Alexander - a cryptic handsome intellectual. They fall in love at the Pergolesi concert and their relationship grows deeper rapidly. However, the events occurring in the country are not so romantic : the protests on the city's main square foretell the beginning of a revolution. The government enters increased security measures. The protagonists have yet to discover their roles in this political game: Anna becomes an activist of the revolution and Alexander becomes the special unit's captain...

A man who teaches in high school resigns from teaching after taking the advice of his family. The family leaves the city and settles in the village house they inherited. The family, who has built a new life for themselves here, struggles to make a living. However, things don't go quite as they thought.

Mistreated by her boorish husband and adolescent sons, a shy housewife seeks relief through a love affair with a younger man who works at the local market.

The action takes place in 1944. Because of the bombings, the family of the 15-yer-old Victor is being evacuated to a small village. There, the sensitive boy gains an intimate knowledge of the people around him and starts understanding them. There are retrospective sequences returning as far back as the September Uprising in 1923 in Bulgaria. Victor will never forget his experiences with so different, yet interesting people. 30 years later, Victor realizes that the events of the time had their effects on several generations. He is remembering his childhood and adolescence, the colorful atmosphere and the patriarchal life in his native village and his first love for a strange woman who had come down to live in the village for mysterious reasons of her own. A local clairvoyant divines the secret of the attractive stranger who has been married to a military officer. ' One of the twins of her soul is sick and the other one is also destined to be taken ill', she says. And indeed amid the stormy events of the Revolution, the young woman who has hidden herself away from all her friends and relatives dies. All the characters: the communists Parvan and Stefan, the partisan Sasho, his parents, the fascist Dimov, the Gypsies of the gypsy camp and the peasants take part in the dramatic events commented on by the author's voice-over. The exuberant visual style is a means, which the filmmakers use to reveal the vitality of the folk spirit against the background of a time heavy with revolutionary passion.

Rinko Shoji, a radio station employee, meets Shukichi, the vocalist of the rock band "Shoeless Four", at a live house brought to Terazono. Rinko is fascinated by her gentle singing voice, which is the exact opposite of Shukichi's radical personality. A young man, Kazuya, strums his guitar from the audience as if to challenge Shukichi's singing voice. Due to his talent, Shukichi forcibly kicked out Kenbo, a scout and band member, and made him join. Eventually, the band goes to Tokyo at the invitation of Shoko, the director of a record company.
