One Man's Terrorist
'One Man's Terrorist' is a metaphorical anti-war film loosely inspired by the real-life experiences of writer/director David West. As a soldier in the United States Army, David had a change of heart after deploying to Iraq in 2009, eventually seeking discharge as a Conscientious Objector. It wasn't because he became a pacifist; it was because he realized that if he was Iraqi, he'd fight back too. 'One Man's Terrorist' puts Americans in the shoes of the insurgents by telling the story of a young boy whose older brothers are fighting a U.N. Peacekeeper occupation in Southern Oregon. The film aims to make Americans question their support of the 'War on Terror' by posing a simple question: 'If your home was occupied, would you shoot back?'
