Pledging is a great opportunity to make new friends and find your identity in college, but how far will you go and what are you willing to sacrifice in order to be accepted? "The Brotherhood" is an intense action-drama that takes pledging to a mafia-style level. Written by Wade Austin and Directed by Wade Austin and Rankin Dean, The Brotherhood is an indie-student film produced in two months on a super-low budget by a small team of student filmmakers and actors. Edited by Rankin Dean, the film was cut down to 10 minutes in order to qualify for ACU FilmFest 2019 where it won 3 awards, including BEST PICTURE, Best Producer (Hannah Raymond), and Best Cinematography (Rankin Dean).

During the Sung dynasty, Ch'in Kuei, a corrupt premier, orders the arrest of Yüeh Fei, an heroic general. Ling Yu Fong, an idealistic follower of the general, recruits a small force to free him, failing miserably, losing most of his troops and sustaining wounds. He's hidden and nursed back to health by a troupe of traveling acrobats, two brothers and two sisters. One of the sisters falls in love with Ling. He asks them to help him free the general, and the five undertake this quest against great odds. The general himself brings an element into the story that his liberators do not anticipate.

Sherif is a simple man working in the airport's customs monitoring the bags, he is honest man who doesn't take any bribes but a gang of drug dealers want to recruit him to make their job easy at the airport smuggling drugs in and out from Egypt. The police however reaches Sherif first recruiting him to work with they, according to the plan Sherif accepts bribes from the drug gang and pretends that he is working for them where in fact he is spying for the police and collecting information about the gang to reach its big boss.

"Rusty" Noonan, a hard-boiled, cynical, selfish smart-aleck, working as a mechanic in a Detroit garage, is outraged when he has to work overtime on repairing the shoddy work he had done on a taxicab, gets into an argument with the shop-foreman, Wison. The foreman takes a swing at him and misses but Noonan, a trained boxer connects with his punch. The blow catches Wilson on the chin, knocks him off his feet and his head hits the floor and he is killed. Noonan flees, wanders about the country and eventually arrives in the desert-town of Las Vegas, Nevada, where the mighty Boulder Dam is being constructed on the near-by Colorado River. He is befriended by Ann Vangarick, gets a construction job on the dam project, and he begins to see the error of his past ways.
