"Su-chan Mai-chan Sawako-san" follows the lives of three women who are former co-workers. 34-year-old Su-chan works at a coffee shop and has feelings for the manager there. 34-year-old Mai-chan works at an OA machine maker. She is in a relationship with a married man. 39-year-old Sawako works as a web designer and also takes care of her grandmother.

The senior boss of the law firm Dr. Maertens is often able to use the feud between his employees to his advantage. But Elvira's miraculous transformation from caterpillar to butterfly and the conspiratorial meetings in the boss's office seem highly suspicious to his colleague Millosch. When Elvira travels to Mallorca on a secret mission, where Julia and Thomas want to get married in church, Millosch suspects a conspiracy and follows his colleague. When he meets Julia, who thinks he is Elvira's lovable husband, Millosch's acting talent is also called upon. The two quarrelers are now forced to be nice to each other - and in doing so, against their will, they develop a taste for it.
