Summary Shibuya Brand New Days tells the story of Tetsuo Miyazawa who lost his job and home, and became homeless in Tokyo, Japan. When he sought for a place to sleep, Miyazawa found the Shibuya Ward Office's parking lot, also known as 'Chikachu' where many other homeless share food and sleep together. One day, both homeless and support organizations at Chikachu received a lock-up notice from the Shibuya Ward Office. Miyazawa, the other homeless and outreach organizations stood up and decided to fight against its closure to keep the place open so they can protect the community.
